Rowles Recruitment

Working with the founder of Rowles Recruitment through a new stage of growth

Recruitment

Leadership Coaching

December 2025 to Present

Supporting Danielle Barrett to become more visible as the founder of Rowles Recruitment and build momentum for the new business.

The Client

Rowles Recruitment is a Midlands-based consultancy founded by Danielle Barrett. It works closely with growing businesses to understand their hiring needs and make considered introductions that serve both the employer and the candidate.

Danielle brought extensive experience in recruitment and business development to the venture. She had a clear view of the kind of company she wanted to build: one based on strong client relationships and careful, effective hiring.

The Challenge

Danielle began working with Bob as she launched Rowles Recruitment. Alongside the excitement of starting a business came considerable pressure and self-doubt.

She knew what she wanted Rowles to stand for, but becoming its public face felt daunting. Danielle was initally reluctant to announce the business digitally or to lead with her profile on its website. At first, she expected to put those steps off for as long as a year.

She also recognised the commercial difficulty this could create. Rowles was being built on relationships, and prospective clients needed to know the person behind it. The challenge was to move forward while that visibility still felt uncomfortable.

The Coaching Engagement

Bob worked with Danielle from the beginning of the business launch. Their conversations focused on the confidence barriers behind her reluctance to become more visible.

Danielle describes Bob’s approach as asking questions that challenged her thinking and helped her examine the reasons for her hesitation. He encouraged her to address the actions she was avoiding, particularly those that could help Rowles develop.

Danielle remained in charge of the decisions. The coaching helped her work through a specific obstacle at a point when delaying had a potential cost to the business.

Key Areas

Founder confidence and visibility

Danielle explored why presenting herself publicly felt so difficult, despite being confident in her vision for Rowles and aware of the importance of building relationships.

Turning intention into action

The work helped Danielle move ahead with communicating about the business. She began sharing her experience and the Rowles story on LinkedIn rather than waiting until she felt entirely comfortable doing so.

Outcome and Impact

Within weeks of working with Bob, Danielle’s approach to visibility had changed. She began posting regularly on LinkedIn and sharing her journey as a founder. She says the confidence gained through coaching influenced how she communicated and built relationships.

Rowles signed its first client contract within four weeks of launch. By April 2026, the business had established ongoing partnerships with clients across several sectors. Those results reflect Danielle’s recruitment expertise and the work she has put into the business, alongside the support she sought as a new founder.

In Danielle’s words: “Bob’s support has been instrumental to the rapid success and achievements of Rowles Recruitment.”

Why Coaching Made the Difference

Danielle already had the professional expertise and a clear sense of what she wanted to build. The immediate barrier was her hesitation about representing the business publicly.

Bob’s questions helped her examine that hesitation and decide what to do about it. The work was tied to a real decision facing Rowles at launch. Danielle chose to take the step she had been postponing, then developed her confidence through doing it.

Experience in an industry does not automatically make the move into business ownership comfortable. For Danielle, becoming visible was a particularly important part of that move. Coaching helped her work through the hesitation; she then took action in a way that felt true to the business she wanted to build.

Danielle knew the recruitment business she wanted to build. What stood out was how much harder she found the idea of putting herself at the front of it. She could see why it mattered, but that did not make the first step easy.

She was willing to examine what was holding her back and then act while it still felt uncomfortable. The momentum Rowles has built belongs to Danielle. It has been rewarding to support her as she has grown into the public side of being its founder.
